Mature Dynamic  Secretary/PA with good organisational and  communication skills, motivated with the flexibility to facilitate team members to ensure efficient working practices.  Working for many years as a Secretary over a wide reaching business base, I have gained extensive all round Secretarial and Administration skills and experience.  I am someone who pays attention to detail, diligent, adaptable as well as being numerate and literate.  I have excellent IT skills.  Good team spirit as well as the confidence to work on my own initiative without supervision.  I have an approachable compassionate nature with a good sense of humour.  I am available for immediate start and am willing to re-locating.

Set up a business supporting people by giving practical advice and acting as a support system for them, successfully helping clients move forward with their lives

Responsibilities included helping clients work through difficult periods in their life

Giving clients an understanding of how their reactions to situations had a bearing on the outcome and how they could change those reactions to a more positive and productive end.

Encouraging them to identify their personal goals and then setting up a workable time frame so this could be achieved.

I also built and ran my own website.

Temporary Secretary/PA/Project Co-ordination/Liaison Officer                                              Aug 2003 – July 2004  

Winners Personnel – Based at A&P  Falmouth     

 Employed on a temporary basis as the acting PA for the supervisors on a MoD ship refit.

Main role was to provide secretarial and administration support to the ship’s refit supervisors, and provide liaison support between the shipyard and the MoD.

Also responsible for establishing and maintaining a project administration infrastructure over a short timeframe to ensure all administrative procedures were in place and running successfully.

Taking and distributing minutes for meetings of a confidential nature.

Secretary/PA to Group MoD Business Development Director

Provided secretarial and administration support including preparing study reports, power point presentations and proposals for new contracts.

Also maintained a clear jobbing time scale using Microsoft Project, diary management, setting up efficient computer and manual filing systems, ensuring the smooth running of the office at all times.

Office Manager/Secretary/Administrator   March 2002 – July 2003

Employed at the start of this venture as office manager for a local charity based venture set up to help youngsters who had various social problems, to set up various systems needed to ensure the smooth running of the administration.

Used Word, Excel and Quickbooks for invoicing, PAYE and template letters for general correspondence.

Also responsible for recording of figures on a daily basis and then collated at monthly and yearly intervals, petty cash records, personnel and client records.

Also set up general office systems simple accounting systems for payments and banking.

Once the procedures were running efficiently I passed over the Administration to the management team.

Branch Administrator/PAYE Manager         June 2001 – Feb 2002   

Rightnurse Care Services,     Truro

Responsible for maintaining a database programme written specifically for nursing agencies to record hours worked by temporary nursing staff and thus allowing PAYE records to be extracted.

Other duties included helping maintain a working rota, taking telephone bookings for staff, dealing with any queries and other general office duties.

My Ideal Job:

I don’t want a job I want a career. I want a position I can be passionate about.
That challenges and stretches me.
That allows me to use all my knowledge and experience to deliver the end product.
I want a position that will widen my horizons and teach new things.
Where I am a valued and respected member of a team.
A position that will allow me the freedom to work flexible hours so I can complete any given task in a timely manner even if that means I work 12 hours a day.
I want a position that means I won’t be in an office all the time, but will allow me to travel and meet various people, getting totally involved in what the company does, to be an ambassador for the company.
I want a position and do the kind of work I can be proud of, I want to work for a company I can be proud of working for.
I don’t like too much structure, I like to be allowed to get on and do what needs to be done, whatever, where ever, and when ever it needs to be done.
I would be willing to relocate if the right offer was put on the table.
